We are guests of the Cambridge Catholic Society. We will visit their Chaplaincy, where we will have Mass followed by lunch. In the afternoon some students will show us around the Colleges and (weather allowing) we can go Punting on the Cam! The cost is only £10. Tickets are on sale now, please contact me. Great Hispanic Mass Last Sunday

25 March 2003.  Last Sunday, 23rd March, the Chaplaincy was once more witness of an international event! It held the Hispano-American Mass. It was great to see all those Hispano speakers get together, organising, preparing, singing and cooking the specialities of their own country! This academic year we have people from Spain, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Mexico but we must not forget that the world has 19 countries where Spanish is spoken!

Among friends and in a very comfortable and friendly environment, we could taste the Hispanic and Latin-American taste: paella and sangria from Spain, spinach and carrot cream soups from Mexico, sopes and picadas (very traditional Mexican snacks) and the wonderful taste of alfajores from Peru. We had a relaxed afternoon, listening and dancing to some Peruvian and Mexican music as well as some of the songs we sang in our fantastic Mass.  Rosario Domínguez

New Website up and Running

11 March 2003.  Today, the new cathsoc.org website has been launched. It will soon contain a number of new features, such as pictures of Cathsoc events and the possibility for members to leave their e-mail addresses here, so that they can stay in touch even after leaving university.  Mario Schweigler
