Mario and Alex | |
|
| |
Mario comes from Germany. After his first three years of study there, he came to Kent and is currently in the final year of his PhD in Computer Science. Mario is also responsible for our website and plays the guitar in our choir.
Alex is Singaporean and currently in the second year of his degree in Politics and
International Relations. Before he came to Kent, he served three years with the Singaporean
Armed Forces. Additionally to his involvement with the Cathsoc, Alex is also this year's Ethnic
Minorities Officer of the Students' Union.
Both of them also act as barmen of The Barque Inn, our Chaplaincy bar. So whenever you wonder where to buy your ale on a Tuesday night - you know who to ask...

Luisa | |
|
| |
Luisa was one of the Cathsoc Presidents last year. She is part of our
SVP Group where she helps the homeless at the Canterbury
Open Centre. Lusia is very enthusiastic to leave her fingerprint at the Cathsoc in
the second year now, and to spice up Cathsoc life with some Latin American
flavour!

Stefan | |

Stefan has a distinct interest in scriptural theology and Doctrine. You might see him as
a Eucharistic Minister, distributing the Chalice at mass. Although he has never been on
the Cathsoc Committee before, Stefan is determined to do the best job he can and promises
to be a fast learner.

Andrew | |

| |
Andrew is one of the guitarists in our choir, so he is one of
the people you can contact if you are interested in singing or playing an instrument in
the choir. You can catch him right after Mass on
Sundays, or at
St John Stone House, where he is often behind the bar
as our third bartender, on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Charo | |
|
| |
For the second year now, Charo is our SVP President. She believes that love, enthusiasm and
energy can be shared with those in need. From her experience, she thinks that the SVP Group
gives us the opportunity to share what we have and feel, and that helping others can let us
grow as human beings and as Christians. "Let us plant the seed of sharing, and we will soon
collect the fruit of love!"
