Presidents
Our Presidents this year are Catherine Hill, called Cat by her friends, and
Anna-Marie Bradley.
Cat is doing a PhD in Forensic Imaging and is currently in her 2nd year. Before coming to
Kent, she studied Physics at the University of Southampton. Her interests include music,
films and socialising. Cat is also a member of our choir. She
feels honoured to have been given the opportunity to be President this year and hopes she
can make you all feel welcome!
Anna-Marie is in the penultimate year of her Drama degree. She is a keen musician and plays
the saxophone and sings in the choir. Anna-Marie is also a committed
sports player and is very involved in the University’s Ladies Hockey Team. Outside of
university, she is a member of the Lay Community of St Benedict and the Brentwood Youth
Service.

Treasurer
This year’s Treasurer is Stefan Krok-Paszkowski, called Krok by his friends.
Stefan comes originally from Poland. He is doing a History degree and is currently in his
final year. Before starting university, he served in the Armed Forces as a reserve.
Krok has a distinct interest in scriptural theology and Doctrine. He is the only Committee
member who has been on the Committee before (last year he was our International Officer),
so he is taking care of the Committee newbies. Apart from being our Treasurer, Krok also
organises KISS, the social group run by Cathsoc members.

International Officer
Cai Qiujing, called Lizzy by her friends, is the Cathsoc’s International
Officer. Lizzy is an international student from China. Currently, she is doing an MSc
in Management Science. She came to Kent last year to do a Postgraduate Diploma in
Management Studies and Business English.
Before coming to England, Lizzy studied in China for three years. Appropriately for an
International Officer, she likes travelling a lot. Occasionally, she helps singing in
the choir. Lizzy would like to share her experiences as an
international student, so please feel free to contact her!

Cultural Officer
This year, our Cultural Officer is Craig Scandrett. Craig is currently training
to be a Chartered Accountant with a local firm in Canterbury. Prior to this, he
completed his degree in Physics at the University of Southampton, where he met his
fiancée, Cat (one of your friendly Cathsoc Presidents!).
This is Craig’s second year as a member of the Cathsoc, as well as a member of
St John Stone Choir. He is enjoying it very much and
hopes to make this year a really successful one for everybody!

SVP President
The President of our SVP Group is Sarah Nogaro. She
is coming from Switzerland and has started her second year in Molecular and Cellular
Biology. In joining SVP, she found a way to reach out to others by sharing some time
with people in greater need. Playing board games, creating an ‘ambiance’ for
Halloween and learning the very basics of sign language were all part of her
experience at Roper House.
The SVP is a great way of getting to know not only people who share similar values,
but also the local community. Sarah is looking forward to seeing you this coming year.
She hopes to add to the spirit of the SVP by uniting people with manifold
experiences.
