Win prizes! Bring along your photographs of Cathsoc events during the past year:

Bodiam & Rye, Bruges, the Christmas Party, Oxford, ‘Paris in the Springtime’ et al.

Other International Masses

During
May
If you would like to organise other International Masses, please contact Fr Peter as soon as possible.

In previous years we had French, Italian, Hispanic and African Masses, and it would be nice if also this year — following the German Mass — other groups would show their commitment too.

Chill Out in Front of the Video...

Tuesday
03 May
Enjoy an evening away from the library as you relax at St John Stone House. We will show “Shark Tale” — the funny story of Oscar, a broke tongue scrubber at the local whale wash who by accident becomes famous as a dangerous shark slayer, and his adventures with Lenny, a vegetarian shark. (Don’t forget the popcorn!)

Ascension Day [Holy Day of Obligation]

Thursday
05 May
Mass at 1:30pm in Eliot Chapel AND at 6:40pm in St John Stone House.

Molokai

Tuesday
10 May
On the Feast Day of Fr Damien of Louvain we show “Molokai” — the Australian film of Fr Damien’s life and heroic death.

Another Chance to Relax...

Tuesday
17 May
Relax at the Cathsoc and watch “Waking Ned” — the story of a lottery winner in a small Irish village who gets called to heaven before he can pick up the cheque, and how the entire village gets involved in a big disguise to get the money...

Char-à-banc to Cambridge

Saturday
21 May
For only £10 — Forget (?) about that revision and those examinations — enjoy a “Panic & Stress Free Day” as guests of Cambridge University Catholic Society!

Visit the colleges... Stroll along the banks of (or punt on!) the Cam... Or just get away from it all...

Romero

Tuesday
24 May
An opportunity to recover around The Barque Inn as we watch “Romero” — the dramatic story of the life and martyrdom of Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador.

Corpus Christi [Holy Day of Obligation]

Thursday
26 May
Mass at 1:30pm in Eliot Chapel AND at 6:40pm in St John Stone House.

NOT the Union Ball...

Friday
27 May

All this... and more... “From Eight till (very!) late...” Not at £40 a ticket... Not at even 40p a ticket... BUT free!

Sunday
05 June
(Sadly) at 11:30 our last Mass of term followed by our famous Going-down Barbecue — our final Pot-luck Lunch with all the special atmosphere of St John Stone House and the end of a wonderful academic year!

Vive Valeque Cathsoc...

Tuesday
07 June
