Presidents
Our Presidents this year are Anne-Kathleen la Combe and Frank Pells.
Anne-Kathleen is an interesting mix between an Anglophile and the French froggy. She
has been studying Political Science for four years in Canterbury and in Lille (France),
and will remain a student for an extra year while doing an MSc at Kent Business School.
She likes meeting new people and loves music. Anne-Kathleen hopes to keep the Cathsoc a
second home for many of its members.
Frank is in his final year, reading English and American Literature. He is eager to
carry on the work of his predecessors, inspiring and encouraging many more young
Catholics to continue practicing their faith. Frank loves music and films, as well as
literature. He also likes swimming, cycling, travelling, hiking, and of course
socialising at the Cathsoc!

SVP President
The President of our SVP Group is Emily Kennedy. Emily
enjoys voluntary work and is now the SVP President for the second year. In addition
to SVP she is also involved in the Student Ambassador Scheme and the Student Staff
Consultative Committee at the university and volunteers at Oxfam.
Emily is studying History in her final year. In her spare time, she enjoys live music,
pub quizzes and cooking for her friends. She is looking forward to the new academic
year and getting more people involved in helping the community through SVP.
